Jill Hayman
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
A Grounded, Compassionate Approach to Therapy
Jill is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor whose work centers on creating a thoughtful, steady space where meaningful growth can happen. She holds a Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from New York University and brings warmth, clarity, and clinical rigor to every client relationship.
Her broader educational background — which also includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Juris Doctor, both from NYU — informs a particular sensitivity to the pressures faced by professionals, graduate students, and individuals navigating high-stakes careers and complex life transitions. Whether clients are managing burnout, working through emotional challenges, or trying to find clarity during change, Jill meets them where they are.
Clients often come to me when they feel stuck in unhelpful patterns or overwhelmed by change. Together, we identify what’s getting in the way, clarify your goals, and develop a practical, personalized path forward.

Integrative & Evidence-Based
Jill draws from a range of established modalities to tailor each engagement to the individual in front of her. Her style is collaborative, practical, and grounded — equally suited to clinical therapy, coaching frameworks, and supervision conversations.
A Collegiate Approach to Learning
As a Clinical Supervisor at Steady Compass, Jill takes a collegiate approach to supervision — one that values curiosity, intellectual rigor, and genuine collaboration. She sees supervision as a shared learning space where graduate-level clinicians can develop their clinical voice, work through challenging cases, and integrate theory with the practical realities of the therapy room.
Her goal is to support each supervisee in building competence, ethical grounding, and the confidence to grow into their own style as a clinician. Jill brings a strong emphasis on ethics, professional boundaries, and the thoughtful application of clinical reasoning.
