Meet Jordan
Jordan Llorin · MSW Practicum Student · Social WorkAbout Me
Jordan is a holistic counselor with over six years of professional experience in the fields of human-centered design, mental health research, and health coaching. He is motivated to share wisdom from these experiences to inform your healing journey.
His experiences, coupled with his passion for nature, exercise, spirituality, and time with friends and family, have informed a holistic approach to therapy. Whether it is attending to your emotional, physical, social, or spiritual needs, Jordan is ready to partner with you on the path to becoming balanced and whole.
This is your healing journey, and Jordan will create the space you need to direct, create, and explore it. He recognizes you are a divine, beautiful being, and everything you need is already within you. His only expectation is for you to come as you are.
A Personalized Approach
Jordan's approach is personalized to you. He believes in meeting you where you are and walking beside you toward where you wish to go.
He acknowledges that certain passions, moments, and people give you life and brighten your aura. Applying a positive psychology orientation, he works with you to find ways to spend more time in these states to build a strong foundation.
From there, he encourages you to listen to your body and any points of resistance you may be feeling. Jordan believes pain must be listened to and acknowledged as a signal steering you back to balance.
An emerging interest of Jordan's is in nervous system regulation, and its importance in a world that is increasingly stimulating. Applying a variety of mindfulness, grounding, and breathing techniques, he works with you to remind your system that you are safe.
Who Jordan Works With
Jordan works with adolescents and young adults navigating the stressors of life transitions and the modern world. With experiences supporting tech addiction, climate anxiety, and moving away from home with high schoolers and college students, Jordan is passionate about helping the next generation become more resilient.
Men and members of the military community may also be encouraged to work with Jordan. His experiences as a health promotion specialist with junior Marines and as a researcher studying veterans have familiarized him with the unique lifestyle and expectations of military life and how one's well-being may be impacted by toxic masculine stigmas.
Beyond the Office
Outside of the therapy room, Jordan finds passion through connection. He has always found laughter and relating to his family and friends incredibly healing and has made these relationships a priority. When he needs to get away, he loves to commune with the trees and birds during hikes in the local park. He is currently exploring a deeper connection to his spirit through drawing, meditation, and reading spiritual books.
He acknowledges that as much healing happens outside of the therapy room, when concepts can be applied and life can be lived, as within it. He hopes for his clients to intertwine the wisdom learned outside of the therapy room with that learned within it, as part of a progressive dance from reflection to action and back.
As a graduate level clinical student, Jordan offers compassionate, high-quality care at a reduced fee, under close supervision by licensed clinicians.
