Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Q Will my employer know I'm using the EAP?

No. Your use of the EAP is completely confidential. Your employer will not know whether you have called, scheduled, or attended sessions — unless you choose to share that yourself.

Q Do I need a referral or diagnosis?

No referral or diagnosis is needed. You can self-refer by contacting your EAP provider directly or calling our office. We will handle the rest.

Q Is there any cost to me?

EAP sessions are provided at no cost to you. They are a benefit paid for entirely by your employer. We do not bill your health insurance for EAP sessions.

Q What if I need more sessions than the EAP allows?

Your EAP counselor will help you transition smoothly to ongoing care — whether through your insurance, a community resource, or our private pay or insurance services.

Q Can I use the EAP for a family member?

Yes. Depending on your employer's plan, your spouse, domestic partner, and household dependents may also have access to EAP services at no cost.

Q What happens when my sessions end?

If your concerns are resolved, your case closes with a formal discharge summary. If you need more support, your counselor will provide a warm referral to a longer-term provider. You will never be left without a clear path forward.

In Crisis?

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health crises, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Your EAP also provides 24/7 phone support for urgent needs.
