Our Philosophy

Every Family is Different

We offer tailored, evidence-based approaches that meet your family where you are. Whether you're navigating a difficult transition, supporting a child with anxiety, or trying to reconnect as a family — we're here to guide you with compassion and expertise.

Our clinicians believe that when one member of a family struggles, the whole family feels it. That's why we take a whole-family approach: supporting young people in their individual sessions while keeping parents and caregivers meaningfully involved every step of the way.

Healing isn't a straight line, and families don't have to walk it alone. We're honored to be part of the journey.

Common Areas We Help With

What Brings Families to Us

You don't need to be in crisis to reach out. These are some of the challenges we work through together.

Anxiety & Depression

Childhood and adolescent anxiety, worry, low mood, and emotional overwhelm affecting school, friendships, and daily life.

Behavioral & Emotional Regulation

Outbursts, meltdowns, impulsivity, and difficulty managing big emotions at home or in school settings.

Grief, Loss & Trauma

Processing the death of a loved one, pet loss, or past traumatic experiences that continue to affect daily functioning.

Family Conflict & Communication

Parent-child conflict, sibling dynamics, and rebuilding trust and connection within the family system.

School Stress & Social Anxiety

Academic pressure, social difficulties, peer relationships, bullying, and school avoidance or refusal.

Life Transitions

Divorce, blended families, relocation, adoption, new siblings, and other major changes that disrupt family stability.

Who We Serve

Our clinicians are trained to work with young people across developmental stages — and with the families who love them.

Parent & Caregiver Involvement

How We Work With Parents

Caregivers are never left out of the process. We believe that parent partnership is key to lasting change — here's what that looks like in practice.

Initial Parent Consultation

Before a child's first session, we meet with parents or caregivers separately to understand your concerns, goals, and your child's history in full — without the child present.

Regular Parent Check-Ins

We schedule routine check-in sessions — separate from your child's therapy — so you can share updates, ask questions, and stay connected to the therapeutic process.

Family Sessions

When appropriate, we incorporate joint family sessions to practice communication skills, process shared experiences, and strengthen the parent-child relationship directly in the room.

Home Strategy Guidance

We equip caregivers with practical, evidence-based tools and strategies to support your child's growth between sessions — so progress doesn't stop when therapy ends.

Our Approach

How We Work

We use a blend of evidence-based modalities, always guided by what works best for the individual child and family.

Play Therapy & Creative Modalities

Children communicate through play. We use art, storytelling, and expressive tools to help young clients process emotions safely.

CBT & DBT

Evidence-based approaches to help children and teens identify unhelpful thought patterns and build practical coping skills.

Animal-Assisted Therapy

The calm, non-judgmental presence of an animal can open doors that traditional talk therapy sometimes can't — especially effective for youth and trauma.

Mindfulness & Somatic Tools

Body-based and mindfulness practices that help children and teens regulate their nervous systems and build emotional awareness.
